We have our 2 daily cars packed in the driveway. We usually carpool and alternate which cars we drive to work. When leaving for work one morning, my wife noticed a salt packet on the ground near the passenger side door. She didn't think much of it at the time. When we returned home from work that afternoon, I noticed the door wasn't fully closed. I proceeded to the car only to notice there was a bunch of our stuff on the seats. When we opened the car door, it was clear the car had been ransacked. They must have just grabbed everything in the glove box because all of our napkins, straws, pens, etc. we keep in there were also gone. They took the power inverter and all the phone charger cables. What is odd is that they must have been in the car 10 minutes or so because I had all the phone charger cables and power inverter tucked away for a clean look. There were ties holding the cables to different parts of the seat and seat belts. The thieves obviously took their time to unwind and untie everything because it was all gone. The only thing they didn't take was the owner's manual, lol.
We did call the police and file a report. Fortunately, there was no damage to the car so either they used a slim jim or left the car door unlocked.
What a total bummer :(
